Tim and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We rotate holidays between his family and mine. This year is Thanksgiving with mine and Christmas with his. My parents came down from Ohio for a few days and we celebrated here at our house. My first time to host Thanksgiving. Sadly, my brother, sis-in-law and two little nephews weren't able to join us but the plan is to see them over New Years.
Besides eating the traditional Thanksgiving feast and watching college football games, we spent the holiday weekend working on projects around the house. I'm excited to announce we have resumed our dining room project. Yes, it’s been forever! We got stuck for a few months while Tim hemmed and hawed over one section of our wainscoting but he was able to figure out a solution.
Our other project this weekend was tearing up the kitchen floor and painting the underlayment as a temporary surface until we lay tile in a few months. Yes, demo work is fun!!! It will be quite a time-consuming project to install the new floor as we have to rip up two more layers of flooring. Plus, we have to remove all the lower kitchen cabinets and appliances. Oh, and then there’s that wall between the dining room and kitchen that needs to come down. More demo work, I love it!!!
