Humility

Tim and I met with our small group tonight. We are going through Tim Keller's study on the Fruit of the Spirit and tonight's lesson was on humility. The following quote mentioned in the study stood out to me,

"Humility is not thinking less of yourself but rather thinking about yourself less."

If you think less of yourself, you are in fact proud because you are thinking about how humble you are. Oh how sneaky pride can be. I'm reminded that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

Tonight was a good reminder...
