One of the most famous spots in the National Park near Estes Park is Bear Lake. The one mile path around the well-kept lake is popular with the tourists. Clearly the lake's beauty draws the crowds, as seen in these pictures.
All along the path are these randomly placed markers. For the life of us, we could not figure out what they were for or how far apart they were spaced. If anyone knows, please do share.
David was lucky because he was along for the ride and Stacy because she burned the most calories.
We all took turns standing on this rock to pose for pictures.
As we were leaving the lake, the park ranger came over and started talking to us. She seemed friendly and kind but Daniel wanted nothing to do with her, as seen here. (Looking back, I should have asked her what those silly markers were for…)

So beautiful! Ok, I'm not positive but I think those markers coincide with a self guided tour map that you pick up at the visitor center.
i would concur... self guided tour markers... that's what they are usually.
odd question... what child carrier (pack) does Stacey have on? i am looking for one for caden and love getting real people's opinions!
