Instead of running from bees like most children, Daniel is captivated by them and loves to watch them as they fly around him. Maybe when he grows up, he'll become an apiologist.
When we were outside yesterday, Daniel found a bee and didn't let it out of his sight for nearly five minutes - quite impressive for a young fellow who doesn't have much of an attention span.
Daniel's fascination of bees reminds me of our dog's fascination of bugs. The other day, Duch was making a whole bunch of commotion under the kitchen table so I went over to see what all the fuss was about. Turns out she was playing with a bug that had found its way into our house. She loves to paw bugs and put them in her mouth. This bug survived the mouth of slobber but sadly, not the paw of death.
