It's been a while since Lady Duchess Belle of Georgia, our 1 1/2 year old German Shorthaired Pointer, has been in the spotlight. Yes, that is her full name. No, we don't call her that. I call her Duch, Duchess or Wiggle-butt; Tim calls her Dumb-dumb for reasons that I'm about to explain.
Below is a list of things that Duchess has chewed. Some items are still usable, while others were entirely ruined and then there is that one thing still MIA. The list does not include her many dog toys; mail, papers, books and magazines from off the kitchen counter and coffee table; laundry from my dirty clothes hamper; and things out of the various trashcans from around the house.
Chewed But Usable:
1.) Bethany's iPod
2.) Tim's cell phone
3.) TV remote
4.) Kitchen scissors
5.) Tim's brown dress shoes
6.) Bethany's tan and black casual shoes
7.) Legs of all four kitchen chairs and two kitchen stools
8.) Legs of kitchen table
Forever Ruined:
1.) Kitchen area rug
2.) Back door
3.) Linoleum floor in kitchen
4.) Window ledge in living room
5.) Bethany's black Teva flip flops
6.) Suzanne's sunglasses
Missing In Action:
1.) Bethany's sandal
I think the one item that will forever stand out the most is the area rug in the kitchen. It is not the most expensive thing she's ruined; however, how she ruined it and the mess she made will not be forgotten. To sum up the mess, let's just say Duchess had a runny bum and there was no way of saving the rug.
Duch turns two in September and will be officially out of her puppy stage. We can't wait (and neither can our stuff)!!!
